Have You Got Trout Fishing in Your Blood?
I come from a long line of family fisherman and trout fishing is in our blood. We like to put on our fishing hats, collect our gear and a six pack and make our way down to the river.
We will usually pack a picnic basket, throw all our gear in the back of the pickup truck, shove the kids into the back and spend a beautiful day at our local fishing hotspot.
We live in quite a rural community, which has not been affected too badly with population encroachment, and this means that we have discovered and retained our own secret trout fishing haven.
My children love spending the day outdoors and Daryl, my son who is only 5 years old, has now decided he does not want to catch alligators for a living, but rather wants to join the pro trout fishing circuit.
I have mentioned to him that gator catching is a far more lucrative business, but he has firmly set his mind on fly-fishing. I wish him good luck.
